The process of biofeedback is a method which employs special, non invasive instruments that are attached to the body to ‘feed back’ information that helps an individual correct given conditions.

A good, everyday example would be the use of a mirror to help with makeup or combing hair – the mirror is a biofeedback device. When treatment includes the brain it is known as EEG Biofeedback or Neurofeedback. Practice is key to creating lasting, beneficial behavior.

Improving your own ability to ‘regulate’ any of these conditions (poor breathing, excessive muscle tension, beneficial changes in heart rate, an over-anxious or depressed brain, etc.) can improve your long-term health. The basic approach is:
